At the 4th International Conference on Econometrics and Business Analytics Maria Semenova (LaBS Head and Associate Professor at the School of Finance) presented her paper "Bank Runs and Media Freedom: What You Don’t Know Won’t Hurt You?" (co-authored with Vladimir Sokolov and Alexander Benov) . Madina Karamysheva (Research Fellow at the LaBS and Assistant Professor at the Schoool of Finance) presented her paper "Policymaker Meetings as Heteroscedasticity Shifters: Identification and Simultaneous Inference in Unstable SVARs" (co-authored with Bulat Gafarov, Andrey Polbin and Anton Skrobotov).

We are happy to announce that the Laboratory for Banking Studies (LaBS HSE) organizes the 13th Annual LaBS Banking Workshop "Banking in Emerging Markets: Challenges and Opportunities".  The workshop will be held on Friday, November 1st , 2024, at the HSE University, Moscow and online. Submission deadline is September 10th , 2024.
